Where it all began
Lori G. McDowell’s passion for fishing and writing started at a young age. Growing up with a love for the ocean and strong family values, she found inspiration in sportfishing and faith. Her journey led her to combine these passions, creating Fishing with Jesus on a Small Boat.

Lori G. McDowell is a dedicated tournament angler, author, and realtor. As a member of the Lifeline Sportfishing Team, she competed in the Sport Fishing Championship and became a Zane Grey Champion in Cabo, Mexico in 2024. Her team were recognized as the Gulf Champions. Her deep-rooted faith comes alive with each adventure she shares. She resides in Carrollton, Georgia with her family and their Labrador, Spark Plug.
